Cancellation Policy for CBVA Level #1 Bear Viewing Guide Certification Field Session

The CBVA Level #1 Bear Viewing Guide Certification field session at Orford Bay, operated by the Homalco First Nation, is a carefully planned and mandatory component of the training program. 

To ensure the success of this session, please review the following Cancellation Policy:

• Non-Refundable Fees: Once you have registered for the field session and committed to the additional costs, your tuition fee and transportation costs are non-refundable.
  
  
• Why This Policy Exists: The field session requires a minimum number of participants to proceed. If a registered participant cancels, it may impact the ability to run the session for everyone. To ensure fairness and the ability to deliver this unique and valuable experience, we cannot issue refunds.

• Mandatory Requirement: Completion of this field session is a requirement for obtaining your CBVA Level #1 Bear Viewing Guide Certification. Should you cancel or be unable to attend, I will work with you to explore alternative ways to meet the certification requirements.

Flexibility Option:

• If you are unable to attend, you may find a replacement to take your spot.
• The replacement must be arranged and confirmed no later than 10 days prior to the scheduled field session date.
• Replacements are subject to approval to ensure all participants meet the program requirements.

Cancellations by Homalco Wildlife and Cultural Tours:

• If the field session is canceled by Homalco Wildlife and Cultural Tours for any reason (including but not limited to mechanical issues or unsafe weather conditions), the transportation portion of your tuition fee will be refunded.
• Other program-related fees, including tuition for the theory and field session itself, remain non-refundable.

Cancellations Due to Minimum Participant Requirements:

 If the minimum number of participants is not met 7 days prior to the scheduled field session date, the session will be canceled. In this case, the transportation portion of your tuition fee will be refunded. I will work with you to explore alternative ways to complete your certification.

By registering for the CBVA Level #1 Online Theory and Field Session, participants acknowledge and accept this Cancellation Policy and the terms outlined above.
